A nationally recognized pharmacy leader and the immediate past president of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), Varkey brings a proven record of strategic innovation, clinical excellence, and transformational change. Renowned for his collaborative leadership style and ability to foster engagement across teams, Varkey further strengthens Visante’s commitment to empowering hospitals and health systems to optimize pharmacy operations and advance patient care.

Before joining Visante, Varkey served as Director of Pharmacy Services at Houston Methodist Hospital – Texas Medical Center. During his tenure, he led the growth of clinical pharmacy services across multiple specialties and expanded one of the nation’s leading pharmacy residency programs.
